Running with a Virus Scanner

If you are running a real-time virus scanner, it is recommended that you configure the virus scanner to exclude scanning of the Xythos Drive cache folder. Doing this provides a noticeable performance improvement opening and editing of files, and does not compromise the security of the system. The cache folder is C:\Documents and Settings\PC user account name\Local Settings\Application Data\Xythos\cache. If you do not see this folder, Windows Explorer may need to be set to show hidden files. On the Tools menu, select Folder Options.
